In this project we used a cool, slightly old tool to crate a Fakebook account for a side character in our play. Polonius Surname
In this project, we watched various comedies and wrote an essay on who is the most virtuous character. Also, we now say all of the Shakespeare plays we have seen. I'll start with the ones I have seen live: Pericles, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, and The Tempest. The ones I have seen on film and nowhere else are Midsummer Night's Dream and Taming of the Shrew.
In this assignment, I read a soliloquy from my play at high speed. Wherefore I do not know. I couldn't get it to embed, so the link is here.
In this project, we learned vocabulary from our chosen play, using a site called Quizlet. One of their mini-games is embedded below. Also, picture proof of my awesomeness in getting all of them matched in 15 seconds.
In this project I made a character map of the tragedy I picked, in this case Hamlet.
In this assignment was the first choice on which play to study: Hamlet, or Romeo and Juliet. I chose Hamlet, but I read about them both. HamletHamlet is a play about a maniacally depressed young teen whose father has just been murdered by his uncle Claudius. He plots revenge, and (spoiler alert!) everyone dies. Hamlet is the longest of Shakespeare's plays, at 40,000 lines and ranging from 2-4 hours. Hamlet has many twists and turns, and is often viewed as one of the most influential works in english history. It is listed in the world's greatest literature, and has many lasting effects on english literature. It also has been translated into klingon, which is pretty cool. Romeo and JulietRomeo and Juliet is a story about two star crossed lovers who cannot be together, because a family feud keeps them apart. They eventually get married in secret, and (spoiler alert!) they both commit suicide. There is nothing really interesting about this play, except that it is one of the most famous of Hamlet's plays.
